September 8, 2013 – A Day of Service

To mark the first week of Sunday School, we invite families and children to come and see all that is new this year for the Sunday School Program!

We will begin with our NEW opening program followed by opportunities to serve our neighbor for the WHOLE family!

Moms, Dads, sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and cousins,

 of all ages are welcome to join us!

 Help us commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA), by serving the needs of our community through service projects, prayers, and fun!

We will be hearing about the work of

Lutheran Social Ministries of New Jersey

Interfaith Hospitality Network

and

Christus Academy in Camden

We will be working with these ministries, as well as Philabundence!

As you are able,
please bring as many of the following items on September 8th.

These items will be sorted and packaged during our Day of Service:

 Toothpaste

Toothbrush

Shampoo

Conditioner

Soap (bar or body)

Comb & Brush

Mouthwash

Washcloths

Towels

Deodorant

Disposable Razors

Disposable cleaning towels

All-purpose cleaner

Sponges

Mops

Buckets

Gloves

Please make sure that the liquids come in plastic containers.

All items should be new.

Bring your smartphones or cameras to take pictures to share and take action

against hunger with Philabundance!

We will also be helping to prepare for the installation of the new

Bishop of the New Jersey Synod, Bishop-elect Tracie Bartholomew!
