Laudate RingersWednesdays 7:00-7:45PM The Laudate Ringers is a handbell choir for childer in 3rd grade and older. Younger ringers must have completed one year with the Archangel Chimers. Older students with some music reading experience may qualify (these decisions will be made on a case by case basis). They perform in service once every 4-5 weeks, alternating between the different Sunday service times. The ringers are under the co-direction of Guy Kirk and JoAnn Cubberley. Junior ChoirWednesdays 6:30-7:00PM The Junior Choirs if for children in grades 2nd thru 6th. No experience is necessary. Children will learn about the service, the fundamentals of music (learning to read rhythms and follow a piece of music). They sing at a service every 5 to 6 weeks, once at each service (8:15 and 11:00). The choir is under the direction of Guy Kirk. |
Sounds of Glory Bell ChoirWednesdays 7:45-8:45PM The Sounds of Glory Bell Choir is open to adults and senior high age students. The group performs in service approximately twice a month (8:15 and 11:00). The ability to read music is not necessary at first; you will be taught what you need to know. The group is under the direction of JoAnn Cubberley. Youth BellsWednesdays 6 – 7 PM Grades 9-12: Ability to read music is required for this group of Senior High Youth. Previous bell ringing experience is desirable but not required. Advanced bell techniques are taught. Music selections are varied from classical to contemporary. Youth Choir(Meeting Dates Here) Grades 7 through 12: This choir is a place for our youth to sing with joy. Emphasis is placed on contemporary selections Selections run from traditional to contemporary striving for a mix of genres, but many times it is the group which picks out the music. Building on their school experiences with music, as well as choirs, most music is done in 2 or 3 parts, so that the youth experience the fun of singing in harmony. Guitar players are also welcome, as some music is more appropriately accompanied by guitar. This choir is directed by Debbie Zellers. |
